The Herdi Palletiser

“Compact” is the word when measuring up for a Herdi Palletiser, taking up a minimum of your costly floor space. Thanks to a clever design it is possible to add and remove pallets from three different directions. Bags can be fed in from either side.

The palletiser starts where the sealing line ends with a variety of feed conveyors on offer. Pushers or kickers can be used to present the bag into the machine. A pallet dispenser and rollerlane is available to automatically supply empty pallets and roll away / store full pallets. Another -exclusive- space saving option is an integrated wrapper, built into the stacking ring.

How they work.....

  • Bags continue their journey via an additional conveyor(s) after the stitching line.
  • A bag pusher can be used to feed the bag into the palletiser
  • Special shaped “flattening” rollers smooth out the bag.
  • The forked bag lift elevates the bag where it is enclosed in the product-friendly gripper.
  • The gripper positions itself at the pre-programmed point above the pallet and releases the bag.
  • The stacking ring maintains the layer shape while the load settles during the placement of further bags.

Bespoke design

Ideas are drawn up on Herdi’s CAD system to show exactly where an installation could fit in a specific site / application. This way a bespoke system can be designed and offered using years of experience.

Current UK installations not only include agricultural product such as potatoes and onions but also sand and gravel. Various bag materials can be handled such as Jute, netted bags, paper, plastic.
